How PowerProof Home handles advertising, sponsorships, and brand partnerships, and the rules we follow.
This page explains how PowerProof Home handles advertising and sponsorships so you can always tell the difference between our editorial content and paid messages.
Current status
PowerProof Home does not currently display third-party display advertising, and we do not publish sponsored articles. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions, described in our Affiliate Disclosure.
If we add advertising
- Display ads will be clearly separated from editorial content and labeled “Advertisement.”
- Before any ad network sets cookies or uses personal information for targeted advertising, we will update our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, add any legally required opt-out links, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
- We will not run ads for products we consider unsafe or misleading for homeowners.
Sponsored content and brand partnerships
- Any sponsored article, video, newsletter mention, or social post will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership” at the top, as the FTC Endorsement Guides and Canadian law require.
- Sponsors never review or approve our conclusions before publication, and they cannot buy a positive review, a rating, or a place in a comparison.
- Free products, travel, or services received from a brand will be disclosed wherever the brand is mentioned.
